Re: Treating limerence as an addiction
Revisiting this, I think theres some truth to it. It could be treated like an addiction.

Re: Help, 25 years of limerence
If only LO could read this and know it's me, and meet me on a level playing field to have an adult discussion about the past. Especially since both have clearly moved on.

Re: Help, 25 years of limerence
It's a shame people have to reach the ghosting stage regardless of being LO or LS. Makes you wonder if either are mature enough to have adult conversations. Or perhaps they are Avoidant? Avoid conflict at any cost? Or scared of rejection? Or just not emotionally literate enough to express themselves...

Re: Help, 25 years of limerence
That sounds great Angel. Good to read you are working on yourself with a therapist. Also good to see you have finally created a firm boundary with him by blocking him instead of trying to people please, which is something that will continue to bait him. It's also good, IMO, that readers can see that...

Re: Fired Therapist
I was always terrified of people thinking I was interested in them when I wasn't really. That's interesting JT, I wonder how many LO's think the same. That little part of ourselves that likes being flirted with by the same gender (or even opposite gender), that part of self that entertained and/or ...

Re: Fired Therapist
What's bothering me is that I felt I loved her more than a friend You will find your answers here. There's nothing wrong with being bicurious btw. In any case, I can def talk to her when we talk although we talked already but there are probably things we can expand on. Sounds like you've got a good...

Re: What do you expect from your LO?
L-F, thank you for your kind words. I've been pretty sleep-deprived lately due to a flareup of depression and anxiety so I'm not quite sure if I fully understood the quote you shared. Would you mind explaining a little further? No problem! Very simply, everyone of us limerents, no matter the pain w...

Feelings
A recent post got me thinking about how many limerents, in general, are afraid to ask for clarification when stumped by LOs behavior, words, actions, etc. I know I was like a bull in a china shop and wanted, scrap that, demanded answers LO was not prepared to discuss. I never got any answers but in ...

Re: Fired Therapist
she mentioned that I was suffocating her with attention at times when she suspected I was maybe into her. Gosh Kate I'm sorry she thinks this, this must be an unsettling time for you right now. Her sweet messaging me, saying I love you, I want you, need you were confusing me. Do you feel you could ...

Re: Fired Therapist
- I know, it is confusing. Like our entire friendship, she has been sending me mixed signals. Stronger in a sense that we have clarity but she needs distance to work on how/why she was sending signals. I'm not even sure. You could go with the trendy societal assumption that's she's a narcissist and...
