Quite possibly. At first I was on the fence with this but the more I look at the word 'labour' it kind of fits. It's the heavy lifting that David talks about.

Re: Are men less objective and more emotional than women?

Men are very much conditioned not to deal with their feelings or acknowledge them So from what you're saying based on what you've read, limerent men can't or dont want to address anything feelings based with regards to their past? Hence making limerence all about LO which is yet ANOTHER way to esca...

Re: Are men less objective and more emotional than women?

I think that lack of rationality is a characteristic of Limerence that affects men and women equally. Interesting you should say that. I would take a stab and say 100% of limerents know what they feel is irrational, making their understanding of it very rational. It's the exploration of what lies u...

Are men less objective and more emotional than women?

Imo, the percentage of individuals experiencing limerence seems to be evenly divided between males and females.

However, I do wonder whether men tend to be less objective and more emotional in their exploration of what limerence entails.

Thoughts?

Re: Today my LO announced that she is pregnant

If you had a true connection with somebody you would just feel it you wouldn't be mad about their kid or their husband or wife or whatever. You feel the connection and it would be enough for you. I think EGO gets in the way. You're right, you would FEEL the love and be okay with that love, and be h...

Re: Today my LO announced that she is pregnant

But perhaps this is the ideal breaking point for us to seek an exit from Limerence. Limerence is not about LO. Until you're ready to see this, you'll not move on from it. You'll only continue to suppress it. I feel like you've got to face the feelings head on and deal with them drinking won't escap...

Re: Extreme limerence for employee

Another thought is, that you both genuinely love each other and should be together according to the stars. If this is the case, could you wait for her even if it meant waiting a lifetime?

Re: Extreme limerence for employee

How can I deal with her not being around and why can’t I move on… everytime I see her it makes me so much happier and she said even last week it’s the same but then why is she buying a house with her husband… Many individuals here tend to focus solely on the 'LO' when discussing limerence. However,...

Re: Limerance with a fearful Avoidant
