Re: my new observation on beneficial role of oxytocin
I think I would feel even better if some one actually prepared these meals for me!

Re: my new observation on beneficial role of oxytocin
I'm pretty sure one of the reasons this last LE was so strong was because I met my LO around the time my children where getting less huggy with me. Oxytocin withdrawal is a thing!

Re: Ever disclosed to your SO?
I've disclosed two LEs (that were about 12 years apart) to my husband, each when I was at least months past the most intense periods of obsession. In both cases I disclosed in an effort to get rid of the secret I thought was contributed to our lack of emotional intimacy. In both cases, he showed ver...

Re: Ever disclosed to your SO?
Hi leelou, I disclosed to my SO but he didn't know the LO, so I don't think my experience will be applicable at all to your situation. Having to work with someone whom your wife has a crush on--much less limerence for--could be hard for anyone to take lightly. He'd have to have a strong sense of sel...

Re: SO as your imaginary friend?
I hear you! I didn't have imaginary friends when I was a kid, but my LO was essentially my imaginary friend. I'd imagine him as being with me and me talking to him about the things I experienced through out my day. Making SO your imaginary friend? It wouldn't work for me. The great thing about imagi...

Re: Why do you like your LO?
He was attractive, smart, and quirky. We were too much alike for me to have a crush on him and he gave off real "family man" vibes, so I felt it was safe to become friends. A year plus later and I'm in full-blown, one-sided limerence with him and desperately trying to figure out what the h...

Re: Can you get closure?
And investing energy in trying to understand their behavior just distracts us from the heavy lifting we have to do internally to heal the hurt part within ourselves. I’m not saying one replaces the other by any means. The heavy lifting has to happen, I agree and I’m doing it. My point was that I do...

Re: Can you get closure?
Even if you ask you might not get the truth HMP. It depends how honest and vulnerable she wishes to be, what the consequences of her honesty would be etc. I’m not looking for proof beyond doubt, we’ll never get there, but if I can try to understand things from her point of view, at least to some de...

Re: LO is Work Client - Managing Professionalism
Hi Mrs. N.,
Welcome! You seem to be in the right place.
I’m sure your LO has warm feelings for you given the support and sincere concern you offer for his businesses. Wether it’s more than appreciation is a different question. Do you think you and SO can work on strengthening your marriage?
