Re: Limerence for a co-worker

And working on our underlying trauma it’s not a quick fix either in spite of what snake oil sales people might tell you on the Internet. Where, where??? I want to buy some! :D We either transfer it to somebody else, consummate the relationship or starve it by going no contact. In my experience the ...

[quote=DreamingBlue post_id=76795 time=1653583534 I want that to happen so bad so I can be friends with LO. She's very cool and I feel we have a connection on so many things. [/quote] I’m in the camp that believes you can’t be friends with an LO. You’ll always want more. I read this quote once “Ther...

Re: Convinced it will never end

She talks about the need to rewire our brains. Not possible. Or so I believe. David's recent comment on another thread regarding being friends with LO reminded me that we are addicts, and just as an alcoholic can't rewire their brain to reverse alcoholism, we can't either. What they/we can do is le...

Re: Convinced it will never end

I thought I would make a suggestion. I have been reading Lucy Bain's book the Limerent Mind. I actually have both of her books. When I finish them I plan to write a review in the book review section. She talks about the need to rewire our brains. How limerence often results from some unmet need(s). ...

Re: Convinced it will never end

Yes, that's my problem. There's no reality. There's no evidence she's human, other than the fact that everybody is human. She's a dream woman. I really hope this doesn't last 30 years. That would be possibly, until my death. I really hope yours doesn't last 30 year either. Trust me, no one gives yo...

DreamingBlue, I’m new around here so I haven’t read enough of your posts to have an understanding of your full story. When I read the title of this thread I couldn’t help but think that I wished that I had a dollar every time that I asked myself this question. I can really empathize with you on that...

Re: Should I leave my job

Mark Some good advice already posted on this thread. That is a tough situation. Working with your LO. They say it is never good to make big decisions while under emotional distress. Quitting a job is a pretty big decision. But quitting may be what has to be done to relieve the distress. You mentione...
