Added a donate button and the challenges of a recovering codependent asking for help.

Post by David »

I added a donate button last night and was conflicted about if I add a post as to the why. As the first donation arrived, i felt a sense of duty as to some explanation and my inner thinking.

I've thought long and hard about this one. Like for many of us, my relationship with money carries a lot of shadow with it. Even writing this request for donations is pushing against my edges. Perhaps not asking for support was easier as it avoided the issue? Codependents find it hard to ask for things. Hows that for radical honesty? :-o

My intention has and always will be to keep this site ad free and free to access. And yet limerence.net does cost me to host and maintain it. It also takes a degree of my time in overseeing its smooth running.

I've added a donate button to help raise a few British pounds to cover these costs. I know British pounds are a pretty worthless currency these days, however any small contribution would be really appreciated.

Long may limerence.net be the safe, caring, supportive, nurturing community you all make it as we journey through this thing called limerence and as we each live our lives.

Thanks for reading and thanks for helping out.

Well done David!

As soon as I have my credit card in order I'll make a donation. This forum has helped me in ways that I can't even measure, and I'm sure is the same for everyone else here.

Thank you!

I too have shadows with money. Of course stemming from my father!

This is a great idea. Shybi.com put one up a few years back. It was the only way to keep the forum going.

Just went to make a donation, but couldn't change the number of £ from £0.00! Tried clicking on the numbers, typing new numbers over them and all sorts. Am I being thick? 8-}

i think you just type in a number, no need to click the number first
