May December
Appeared to have parallels with the Mary Kay Letourneau/Viki Fualaau case. Gawd the woman's dead can't this poor guy just get on with his life now?

Re: May December
I started watching this. I don't know what aspects of the story are true or not but most of it correlates with the true story of Vili Fualaau and Mary Kay Letourneau. The character of Gracie who is like Mary reminded me quite a bit of my mother. It was so weird how she was in charge but she was still fragile, naive, a victim etc. the character Natalie Portman played didn't get too well of reception from one of the daughters. And when I saw that scene interestingly I was reminded of the one interview they did where Mary completely denied responsibility for abusing a 13 year old boy but at the beginning they met their daughters and the interviewer was going on and on about how the girls had a mixture of each of their parents' looks. I mean duh what exactly did he expect?
In the movie Natalie Portman's character has a short affair with the man of the household who also was 13 when he was seduced by his future wife and forced to become a father. But one thing really stuck to me well two things actually. Gracie's character was warned that her estranged son had told Natalie Portman's character about Gracie's childhood abuse by her own Brothers around twelve. She went to Great lengths to approach her at the end of the movie and tell her that it was all a lie and that she talks to her son every day so he told her about all of it. And then she said insecure people are really dangerous aren't they? And then she said I'm secure make sure you say that. That was wild but doesn't seem completely off from what I'd imagine Mary saying.
